Hugelkultur: Gardening Techniques for Climate Change

  • Grey Rabbit Gardens 4148 Normanna Road Duluth, MN, 55803 United States (map)

Learn about the mounding horticulture technique of Hugelkultur and how to construct it.  What are the benefits of this type of garden?  What are the drawbacks?  What can I plant?  Your $10 class fee will include resources and help support the Master Gardener program.

Taught by Kit Sitter. Kit has been a Master Gardener in Lake County for 20 years.  She loves experimenting in her garden and testing plants to see how they respond to our local microclimates and growing zones. Prior to retirement, she co-owned a landscape company where she helped customers design their gardens to be successful.  Kit looks forward to helping you understand techniques that will make your garden a space you won't want to leave!
